Where to Get Your Hollywood Fix This Week

Brooklyn is a hot backdrop for many productions in the works, and we all know there have been many productions filmed here over the past few months.  Who could forget Zac Efron’s presence while shooting Are We Officially Dating in DUMBO last month?  (Come back anytime, Zac!)  Or Vince Vaughn and Cobie Smulders while filming The Delivery Man in Brooklyn Heights and Prospect Park in the fall?  Well, the Hollywood action doesn’t stop there!  Here is a list of what is filming this week in Brooklyn, so you can go get your Hollywood on…or at least move your car.

–          Winter’s Tale, a feature film starring Russell Crowe and Will Smith, is filming on Garfield     Place and Prospect Park West in Brooklyn on Sunday, Feb. 17th

–          The Americans, the new FX show starring Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys, is set to film in Windsor Terrace on Monday Feb. 18^th and Tuesday Feb. 19^th.  They are setting up shop on Prospect Park Southwest.  The NYPD announced that they would be filming an explosion scene (with a fireball effect- yikes!) last week on Union Street between Hicks and Columbia.  Anyone hear/see it?

–          Boardwalk Empire, the HBO drama, is once again filming in Ditmas Park on Tuesday Feb. 19^th and Wed. Feb. 20^th.  The story is set during the Prohibition era, so the crew is known to transform DP into a 1920’s fantasy.
