The Event – Fall/Winter 2013 “Honor the masters, celebrate the new” The Runway Show
If art imitates life, then arguably fashion inspires it all! Beginning February 28- March 3, 2013, Brooklyn Fashion Weekend will celebrate its 15th season featuring the Fall/Winter 2013 collections of emerging and established designers around the world. On February 28, famed eco-art designer, Luis Valenzuela will host as Opening Keynote Speaker and Headline Designer of the eco-friendly evening and auction

The Auction
Build a Better Planet (BABP), a non-profit organization promoting sustainability, will partner withBKFW and curate the eco-friendly event (www.buildabetterplanet.org) The evening will focus onpromoting awareness about protecting the environment through fashion and raise funding for supporting charities of BKFW including (Soles4Souls, the Paul Robeson Theatre, and SCIP).
Guests can participate in a silent auction benefiting Build a Better Planet. Auction items include a trip for two to unique eco-destinations in Miami and Nicaragua.
