Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir has seen great success through the years.  The 280 person choir has won 6 Grammy Awards and 5 Dove Awards.  On Monday, they are receiving their highest honor yet, the invitation to sing for President Obama and the entire nation at the Inauguration ceremony.  The choir will be performing “Battle Hymn of the Republic” which they have performed before, but this time they are putting a new spin to it.

Choir member Esther Colon told NY 1, “It’s great that we can take and represent as a multiracial, multicultural choir, to be able to go to Washington and stand there before the nation and before the world and show people look, it can work.  People from all nations, all races, we can come together and we can be unified.”  Good luck to Brooklyn Tabernacle!
