Fit and Fun New Year’s Day Activities!

If your New Year’s resolution is to get healthy this year, we have a few suggestions for how to get off on the right foot!  Many of our Brooklynite friends will be participating in the New Year’s Eve run in Prospect Park tonight at 11:15pm.  For those last minute joiners, they still have room for runners!  Click here for more information-  For those of us who will not be running, here are some other fun and fit activities happening tomorrow:

FREE YOGA at Jaya Yoga Center

Some strongly believe that meditation is key to achieving your goals and resolutions.  So, set yourself up for success and take advantage of FREE YOGA classes at Jaya Yoga Center in Park Slope and Windsor Terrace tomorrow!  Check their schedule here-

Tennis Anyone?

Prospect Park’s indoor tennis courts are opening at noon tomorrow.  Call (718) 436-2500 to reserve your court time.

Coney Island Polar Bear Plunge- 1pm

“Plunge” into the new year and freeze your tail off for a good cause!  All proceeds go to Camp Sunshine.  This is a spectacular event and one you will never forget!

Abe Stark Ice Skating Rink-   12pm – 4pm

Ice skating is a fun way to be active, AND make memories with the kids.  The Abe Stark Skating Rink at Coney Island will be open for holiday hours tomorrow (12pm – 4pm).  Admission is $8.00.
