“5×10 Talks”- Downtown BK Innovation Summit

2014 marks the 10 year anniversary of the Downtown Brooklyn rezoning effort that allowed unprecedented growth in the neighborhood.  To celebrate their success, The Downtown Brooklyn Partnership is hosting “5×10 Talks”, an event in which 5 local leaders will discuss the topic of “What’s next”?  These leaders are Bre Pettis, the CEO of MakerBot; Brett Yormark, CEO of The Brooklyn Nets and Barclay’s Center; Deborah Schwartz, President of The Brooklyn Historical Society; Katherine Isbister, Director of NYU Game Innovation Lab; and Ralph McDaniels, Founder of Video Music Box.  There will also be a number of community performances and an award presented to Alan Fishman for his outstanding efforts and services in the community.  The event will be held at BRIC Arts Media House at 7:30 on May 6th.  To purchase tickets and to learn more about the event, click HERE.  All proceeds benefit the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership’s free community events.
