Looking for a fun way to enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend? Check out the newly bloomed cherry blossoms at Brooklyn Botanic Garden! The first Japanese cherry blossom trees have bloomed at Botanic, signaling (finally) the arrival of spring.
If you’d rather wait until all the cherry blossoms are bloomed, plan to check out Sakura Matsuri, the annual cherry blossom festival that celebrates traditional and contemporary Japanese culture, which will be held at the Botanic Gardens on April 26th and 27th. There are 200 total cherry blossom trees at the Botanic Gardens, which should all bloom in the coming weeks. You can view the full list of Sakura Matsuri events and activities at the Botanic Gardens’ website: http://www.bbg.org/visit/event/sakura_matsuri_2014.
