You have the right to remain funny, Andy Samberg.
Last week, Fox announced that it has officially greenlit a second season of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” the police comedy set in our very borough.
The freshman comedy has not been a ratings juggernaut by any standard – it averages just over 5 million viewers, according to Time – but it is critically beloved, which most likely led to its early renewal. The show recently won the Golden Globe for Best Television Series – Comedy or Musical, beating out formidable foes like “The Big Bang Theory,” “Girls,” and “Parks and Rec.” Samberg also won the Golden Globe for Best Comedy Actor for his role on the show.
Season 1 of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” wraps up on Tuesday, March 25th at 9:30pm. Season 2 will begin in the fall.
So now that we know the show isn’t going anywhere, what do you think of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine?” Have you been watching? Is the show an accurate depiction of Brooklyn? Let us know in the comments!
