Lakeside Set to Open for Winter Fun

The much anticipated Prospect Park addition has announced it’s opening day for Friday, December 20th!  The prospect park Alliance has renovated over 26 acres of   underutilized land , and put more than $74 million into the capital improvements.  This new area is closest to Parkside Avenue, and will have an amazing open view of Music Island.  According to the Prospect Park website, this area will feature:

• Two ice skating rinks, one open and one covered, providing 32,000 square feet of skating surface
• Warm weather activities such as roller skating and water play
• 15,000 square feet of landscaped viewing terraces
• Pedal boat rentals
• Year-round café with a seating area

The skating rinks will be open 7 days a week, with select Holiday Hours.  They will also offer adult and children’s hockey leagues, and ice skating classes.
