Photo Food Tour of Smorgasburg

This weekend we hit up Smorgasburg, the fabulous food rally of local vendors in Williamsburg.  Smorg, in a nutshell,  is every food lover’s paradise.  It is such a celebrated event, that last Christmas it was even featured on Oprah’s Favorite Things episode.  (Gayle King picked out Brooklyn Piggies and Pipcorn to share with their audience.  “And YOU get a Piggie!  And You get a Piggie!  Every-Body-Gets-A-Piggieeeee!”)   We digress…It was a beautiful Saturday, and East River State Park was packed full of hungry Brooklynites.  The trick to a successful Smorg is to avoid getting too full too quickly, but man is that a challenge- everything looks delicious!  Here are our pics from around Smorg, and what we ate:

Mighty Quinn’s had the longest line, worth the wait!

Biteme Cheesecakes- This one is strawberry, my fave

Bossa Nova Chicken Burger. We tried the buffalo chicken burger- YUM

crazy legs

Who doesn’t love a good turkey leg?!

My friend Mike had Landhaus’s Grilled Maple Bacon on a stick. He said- “Best 3 bucks I ever spent!” And spent the few moments eating it in complete bliss.
