The Tech Triangle is an urban development project lead by the DUMBO Improvement District, the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation, and the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership.  Essentially, this triangle would link DUMBO, the Brooklyn Navy Yard and Downtown Brooklyn.  The MTA has also stepped forward to start talks of a bus route to link the district together.  Their goal is to boost the area university tech programs and entice tech companies to establish offices in The Tech Triangle, thus increasing the overall value of the area.  Their silicon valley idealism is becoming a reality as more pop up work spaces are becoming available and digital startups are moving in.  Polytechnic Institute of New York University (NYU Poly) in Downtown Brooklyn opened the Greenhouse last month in one of their campus buildings.  This is a think tank environment, designed to foster idea growth. The Greenhouse is designed and run by NYU–Poly students trained in facilitating the creative process.  Work space and meeting space will be available and the Greenhouse will serve as the heart of The Tech triangle.

We all know Brooklynites are an ultra creative bunch, do you think The Tech Triangle will be the next Silicon Valley?
