The 2013 Sundance Film Festival is just a few weeks away, and this year Brooklynites will have the opportunity to see one of the festival’s movies without having to travel all the way to Park City. As part of the Sundance Film Festival USA initiative, Sundance is taking 10 of the festival’s movies on the road to independent theaters across the country. On January 31st, one of the films will screen at each of the 10 theaters selected. BAM will screen “Kill Your Darlings”, which stars Daniel Radcliffe, Dane DeHann, Ben Foster, Michael C. Hall, Jack Huston, and Elizabeth Olsen. According to the Sundance website, the film is “an untold story of murder that brought together a young Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs at Columbia University in 1944, providing the spark that led to the birth of an entire generation – their Beat revolution.” Director John Krokidas will be on hand at the screening to intro the film and participate in a Q&A with the audience afterwards. The screening begins at 7:30. Tickets are $15 and will be available online- http://www.bam.org/film/2012/kill-your-darlings
