Hotel Bossert Will Now Open in 2015
The Brooklyn Heights historic hotel, The Bossert, is now slated for a 2015 opening, delayed from the Summer 2014 original open date. The hotel is located on the corner of Montague and Hicks Streets. The hotel was purchased in 2012 by Developers David Bistricer and Joseph Chetrit from Jehovah Witness with promises to the Landmark Commission that the building would be restored to it’s previous Italian Renaissance finishes. The hotel was made most famous for hosting the after party for The Brooklyn Dodgers after they won the world series in 1955. The Brooklyn Eagle reported last week that the property is currently seeking a hotel operator. The hotel will feature 280 rooms as well as a rooftop restaurant.
